No way will anyone catch Covid outside in this rain.

I took a week explore off the beaten path in Idaho and wrote about it in this blog.

The kids were bugging us to go to Hawaii for years and we don't have that many opportunities left for just the four of us to spend 2 weeks together.

I went to work over Labor Day weekend, the girls went to Disneyland. No wants to see pictures of me at work so you get these instead...

Another fun winter weekend in Central Oregon with good friends,

I wanted to watch the eclipse from a high vantage point and found the perfect spot near Mitchell, Oregon, only 1km from the center of totality. We could see Mounts Jefferson, Hood, and Adams from the top of Sutton Mountain, 1700 feet above the valley floor. We had to hike to get there but we avoided the crowds!

Since Kevin became scuba-certified last year, we thought we should go to a warm-water dive location for spring break. The 2nd-largest coral reef in the world was right outside our door! Snorkeling was awesome! And ziplining. And horseback riding. And the monkeys. And the cocktails.

For Amy's 11th birthday she gave up presents in exchange for a trip to the wonderful Great Wolf Lodge indoor waterpark. The catch was she wanted to bring her friends too.

Another fantastic New Years Eve party where the ball drops at 9pm and everyone is home and in bed by 10. Well, not quite everyone. This year the party featured a fog machine!

We hosted a 5th grade Japanese exchange student for a week. As usual, there was not a lot of down time.

We went to Mazatlan for a week with the Stallkamps and Johnsons. It was hot and humid - perfect!

Amy's first season of indoor soccer. Now she plays year round. This page is all video of Amy and her teammates scoring goals!

A great weekend of skiing with friends. And great powder on Monday in the Northwest Territories!

You haven't lived until you've eaten 20 or so of Kathy's fantastic spanakopita, and washed it down with Rick's cocktails. Just sayin'.

Another fun trip to the Great Water Park of the North. This year we had a Halloween Party.

Micro distilleries are the next big thing, according to some. The Eastside Distillery Tour highlights five local micro distillers with free tastings of locally make vodka, gin, rum, and whiskey.

I turned 50 this year and threw a party at a karaoke bar. Because that's how I (rock and) roll.

On New Years Eve we invite people with kids to a New York New Years party. We watch the ball drop at 9pm, then send everyone home.
